A countersigned record proves the company, the job title and the dates, as that company records them, plus who confirmed it and when. It is not a background check, not a reference, and not an identity guarantee — and if nobody answers within seven days it expires as unconfirmed, never as rejected.
Most tools work with no account. Nothing about you is public unless you publish it, and a declined claim is never published at all.
